The approximately 10 km long outfall tunnel together with the Musaimeer pumping station is part of the Southern Doha drainage system. The pumping station will be located approx. 1 km south of Hamad International Airport. Most part of the tunnel with an inner diameter of 3,70m will be built under the sea in Simsima Limestone formation. The UCS of the rock variates from 3 to 30MPaļ¼and the water pressure is below 4bar. Based on the geological data and the documents we have received, we offer an Earth Pressure Balanced Tunnel Boring Machine with a boring diameter of 4,44m.
According to the submitted a EPB TBM (Ø 4,44m) will be suited. The tunnel will be furnished with segment lining as follows:
