CREG No.972 Telescope-Gripper TBM with a boring dia. of 9.53m is celebrating FAT at CREG Tianjin workshop, a seaport city.
The NEW type TBM is combined with Telescope and Gripper functions. Equipped with rock bolt machines, automatic shotcrete spraying machine, and steel arch erector, this TBM will bore a tunnel with a curve of 90m radius and a grade of 9.02%. Adverse ground conditions with high compressive rock strength and high quartz content are expected in the hydroelectric power station project.

Hardrock, Multi-Cutterheader Pipe Jacking TBM!

CREG hard rock pipe jacking TBM finished the FAT on 19 May 2021. This rectangular pipe jacking TBM will bore a 12.6 x 7.65m tunnel section underneath Putian Railway Station and pass through rock strengths up to 100 Mpa.
The multi-cutterheads, consisting of 7 cutterheads in two layers, 3 in the front overlapping with 4 in the back, will reach an excavation coverage rate of 95% at the tunnel face.

CREG Ø9.83m Gripper TBM No.888 achieved monthly performance of 663m
under adverse geo-conditions Class IV

In March, CREG ∅9.83m Gripper TBM No.888 achieved monthly performance of 663m in the 20.82km long tunnel excavation in Dianzhong Water Diversion Project.
Rock masses class IV and occasional class V were encountered during tunnelling. Wire meshes, rock bolts (4.2m), steel reinforcements followed by shotcrete were implemented. Despite the poor rock conditions and complicated support procedure, CREG Gripper TBM reached remarkable production rate and demonstrated strong adaptability.

CREG triple-mode TBMs (EPB-Slurry-Open) No.845 and No.846 with a diameter of 7.3m passed the FAT at CREG Tianjin factory. These twin TBMs are designed to be used under extreme varied ground conditions to meet specific engineering needs in the undersea tunnel project.

7.95 m Slurry TBM with
atmospheric pressure cutting tools exchanging cutheader

The CREG slurry TBM with a 7.95 m diameter had a big show at the FAT for Shanghai Natural Gas Pipeline Project owned by PetroChina.
This TBM, equipped with a cutterhead accessible under atmospheric pressure for rapid tool change, will drive a distance of 10,226 m under the Yangtze River with max water pressure of 7.3 bar.
Ready-to-bore!

We, CREG, congratulate Webuild JV on Ready-to-bore of the 11,09m single shield TBM for the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project in Australia.
This TBM will excavate two tunnels. After excavating a 2.8 km access tunnel with a slope of -9 degrees, this TBM will be towed back and disassembled in the blind tunnel, and then re-assembled for another 5.8 km tunnel, the second part of its journey.
